Kotler Nasal Airway in place
Life for many nose job and other nose surgery patients became much easier after we invented and put the Kotler Nasal Airway (KNA), left, on the market.
The KNA has been a hit with consumers of nasal surgery so we are fine-tuning one aspect of home care for those who will use the Kotler Nasal Airway and can join our study.
Here's the deal: we're offering a 25 percent discount on the surgeon's fee for any nasal surgery done before December 24th, 2013, and have just a few slots left.
We're studying a slight change in the home care routine to see if we can make home care with the Kotler Nasal Airway even better.
But first, a little history: after most nose jobs and other nasal surgeries, cosmetic plastic surgeons packed the nose with medication-soaked packing to hold everything in place and to provide some healing medications. Other surgeries in which the KNA can be used include:

Nose packing, however, flopped with patients, most of whom could not breathe through their noses until the packing came out. We've known patients who turned down nose surgery, only because packing was used. One disgruntled patient said he felt like a clothespin was on his nose for three days.
Because patients hated packing, many surgeons quit using it, despite its medical benefits.
The Kotler Nasal Airway is a double tube airway inserted into the after nose or sinus surgery. Packing is now placed around the tube so patients can have both normal breathing and the healing benefits of packing. The device is FDA cleared.

Due to the presence of some blood and mucus getting into the airway, the patient (or the after-surgery caretaker) must flush the tubes on a regular basis with plain tap water. It's easily done without pain; the patient can either swallow the tap water or spit it out.

The airway is easily removed by the surgeon in the office, according to a post-operative timetable. The Kotler Nasal Airway does not stick to noses' insides because it’s constructed of soft, no-latex medical grade silicone.

About the study & discount: only the fee is discounted, never the super-specialization status and experience of over 4,000 nose surgeries.
